Weymouth Landing/East Braintree (MBTA station)
Weymouth Landing/East Braintree Station (signed as East Braintree/Weymouth Landing) is a rail station on the MBTA Commuter Rail system in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The station, located at 121 Commercial Street, is the fourth of ten along the MBTA Greenbush Line, which provides service between Scituate and Boston. The line, which reopened on October 31, 2007, was part of the Old Colony Railroad, which had been abandoned since 1959. The station consists of one full-length high-level platform, which is now the MBTA standard for station construction/renovation. There are three parking lots; one off of Quincy Avenue, another off Commercial Street, and a small handicap parking lot adjacent to the station platform and drop-off area on Taber Street. The platform sits in a concrete depressed right of way and stretches under Quincy Ave. and Commercial Street. There is a long shelter in the middle of it adjacent to the drop off area. It is 11.9 miles to South Station from Weymouth Landing, and 15.7 miles to the other end of the line, Greenbush.
